We rented a penthouse condo and it was absolutely fantastic. The exclusivity of the private beach. All the pools, The lazy river. The kids had a blast. It was close to everything. Shopping multiple places to eat. We will definitely be coming back.

We booked a fairly last-minute vacation here for the Fourth of July and all went well. The condo that was available was decorated in Golden Girls yard sale motif, but spent most of our time at the pool or beach so it didn’t matter too much. Overall, I definitely recommend for families with kids. The lazy river can get a little crazy at night though. Also gotta watch out for those beer smugglers hiding their cans in the inner tubes while staff tries to chase them down between the lounge chairs and palm trees. Our rental owner didn’t spring for the beach service, so that would’ve been $55 a day if we hadn’t brought our own gear.

The hotel is a decent value , but it’s a 1/3 of a mile walk to beach, but bay is only 100 yards. Doesn’t seem to have a wide beach area on the bay. The access is decent though. Pool and hot tub well kept. Support by Realty was good.

Everything about the trip was great except for one detail. I would not recommend buying the travel insurance when booking through Destin West Vacations. My wife and I booked our vacation on July 1, 2025 and made final payment on July 15. Our trip was September 13-21, 2025. To this day I still do not have policy documentation. Apparently the travel insurance requests get batched and sent off to the insurance company at one time. Thankfully we didn't need to use it. I have contacted both companies to no avail. Sarah (I believe) with DWV did try to help and I appreciate that. I just wanted a copy of my policy and an idea of what was and was not covered. Two months is a reasonable time to have received both.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, setting the tone for an unforgettable vacation. The beach is truly breathtaking – the sand is powdery soft, perfect for building sandcastles or taking leisurely strolls along the shoreline. The water is crystal clear, inviting you for a refreshing swim or a relaxing float. We spent hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. The resort exceeded all our expectations. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered stunning views of the ocean. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the comfortable furnishings to the thoughtful amenities provided. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, always greeting us with a smile and providing helpful recommendations for local activities and attractions. The pool area was a highlight, with plenty of space to lounge and soak up the sun. What truly sets this beach and resort apart is the overall sense of relaxation and tranquility. It's the perfect place to escape the stresses of everyday life and reconnect with nature. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a truly exceptional beach vacation, look no further!

Condo was very spacious and immaculate. The pools and lazy river were very clean and family friendly. Beautiful view of the lazy river and bay from our balcony. It was really convenient to have access to the sky bridge and be able to walk across the street to the boardwalk and beach. Super close to dining, shops, and arcade. Easy access to crab island as it's right next door to a boat rental. This was our 2nd time staying and will be planning a third trip.

Wow! Amazing vacation! Highly recommend staying in Heron units ending in -01, -02, or -03 to maximize views of the bay. We stayed in Heron PH-02 and it was clean, quiet, felt secluded, and we had the most gorgeous views every day! Saw manatees, Pelicans, dolphins, skates (they look like stingrays), fish, sunrise, sunsets, boats! The lazy river, hot tubs, and pools were clean and fun. The entire place felt well cared for. Staying bay side with gulf access was perfect for our group. Hope to go back soon!

I had an absolutely fantastic time. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and given a map and property information. The villa was clean with a beautiful view of the Gulf and the Bay. The amenities provided were amazing, loved working out in the gym every morning and lounging by the pool. The location was perfect, with The Boardwalk within walking distance. I enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. I will definately be back!
